Introducing our 10-day First Aid for Feelings online meditation course

You can access our ten-day First Aid for Feelings online meditation course here. Each lesson is about 15 minutes long. This means it’s practical and easy to fit it into your everyday. Indeed, all you’ll need to learn how to do your own First Aid for Feelings is your phone or tablet and headphones, plus 15 minutes a day for ten days!
Why enrol?
People often dismiss the role of feelings, both physical sensations and emotions. Going to great lengths to suppress, ignore, numb or disconnect ourselves from our feelings is common. In doing so though, we lose access to valuable information. A time will come when such behaviours start to negatively impact our work, relationships and health.
What’s in our 10-day First Aid for Feelings online meditation course?
Drawing on a deep understanding of how the body’s fight / flight and freeze response works, Thor uses Professor Linden’s 3 scoop ice cream analogy of the brain to explain how its structure influences listeners’ current reactions to feelings and situations.
Thich Nhat Hanh’s practice of looking deeply informs this meditation practce. Thich Nhat Hanh is a zen buddhist, founder of the Order of Interbeing and recipient of the Global Peace Prize and Courage of Conscience award.
Looking deeply, coupled with practising your First Aid for Feelings enables you to respond more constructively to feelings like stress, anger, anxiety, tiredness and non-acute pain. This empowers you to respond to difficult feelings in a more helpful way, making constructive choices and reclaiming your own attention, your time and your life.
